A little truth about life...

...Someone always needs you

HELP CHILD/MOTHER ORGANIZATION

making a difference one person at a time

...two years ago i had the opportunity of working with a woman whose heart I many can learn from. She opened her doors to me and invited me to be part of the project she had started to help young women and children in Kenya. Something that was stirred in her heart and conceived in her mind had grown into the reason why so many people have the hope to live and stay alive.

The founder of HCMO started an organization that focuses on the need of a large majority of Kenyans. There are so many women struggling to provide their children with basic food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and other necessities. While working here i got to hear and see first hand the stories of so many women who try their best to be the best for their children. I sat down so many times and struggled not to cry as i sat down to write and listen to the stories of women who have fought rapists, some who are living with the deadly HIV virus, lost their jobs, husbands and reason for living. Yet still they would write down stories about how they will and have decided to make the best of life. People who may be poor in material wealth but are rich in hope and peace...peace of mind and peace in their hearts. Children who were full of optimism despite the cruel dish that life had served them. Some with no idea where the future will lead but they plan on seeing tomorrow. Sometimes that may just be all that counts; tomorrow.

I can not remember the last time I ever felt so content with what i was doing and who I was. I learned a lot, felt a lot and realized that there is more to life than the things we chase after so many things when for others its the many things that chase after them. Make sure you get fulfillment in a little bit of what you have or do in a day. It may be from loving or listening or just being there. Whether materially or with your presence the truth is that someone always needs you.

Someone always needs you....
